China Raises interest rates

Posted in Uncategorized by qmarks on February 8, 2011

Just after I bought 500 copper futures for March-11 delivery, China raised interest rates to curb inflation and control the economic growth. At the noon time in Europe, the German Industrial production numbers came lower than expected. Copper fallen 0.8% this morning (Feb 08) but it rebounded back after the market sentiment was positive on the growth. It reached to 460 and dropped to 456 at 17:30 Toronto time at that time I sold it and made my first million dollar in the hedge fund.
