How To Convert a Matrix to a Vector

Posted in excel by qmarks on November 16, 2008

A simple function for excel users who wants to convert any pivot table to one column time series data list

=OFFSET(Matrix,TRUNC((ROW()-ROW($A$1))/COLUMNS(Matrix)),MOD(ROW()-ROW($A$1),COLUMNS(Matrix)),1,1)

Matrix is the name of your pivot data set

$A$1 is the beginning of your one column matrix, you can simply refer it wherever you want. Paste this formula right away and fill it down till the count of your matrix cell.
